This series is dedicated to the memory of a friend and colleague: Cheryl Bereziuk (1968 - 2018). She was a passionate educator, an ardent feminist who advocated for those  suffering domestic abuse and caring counsellor who lived life to the fullest!

Leathermen Suite

The Leathermen Suite is part of an ongoing examination of various sub-cultures in my creative practice. Members of the leather community have over the past 80 years been inspired by the work of Tom of Finland and his stylized depictions of leather men. My drawings are a record of how individual gay men express themselves in their own unique manner in response to the notion of the “ideal” posited by Tom of Finland.
